New Tax Law Update February Tax Seminar Series
Tax Seminar Series

We had a great time seeing everyone this week during our New Tax Law Seminar series and getting to take some time together to discuss the new Tax Laws and the ways in which they will affect us all.  Our experienced staff are here for you to help with any questions you may have.  Please feel free to Contact Us anytime.

For those that attended one of our events we discussed the new tax law, commonly known as the “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act”.  This new tax law embodies the most comprehensive tax reform we have seen since the 1986 Tax Reform Act and affects almost every type of taxpayer. At our seminar we highlighted changes that impact the filing of 2018 tax returns for individuals and small business owners. We covered topics such as the revised Form 1040, tax rate changes, itemized deductions, depreciation and expensing provisions, and the brand-new qualified business income deduction. We also provided an update on the current status of estate and gift tax rules. Presenting this information were Dirk Coleman, CPA, AEP® and Kristin Hildebrand, CPA, AEP®.
