Graduate of University of North Texas with Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Served 2 years with the Army Audit Agency, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Began work in public accounting in 1958, became a partner in Green, McReynolds, Forbis & Blakely in 1964, and co-founded Curtis Blakely & Co., P.C. in 1977. Active in all aspects of firm’s practice.
 Rose M. Blakely, CPA
President and Shareholder
Graduate of University of Arkansas with Bachelor of Science in accounting. Began work in public accounting in 1972, worked 1 year in private industry in 1975, and co-founded Curtis Blakely & Co., P.C. in 1977. Active in auditing, consulting, acquisitions and disposition of business, and has extensive experience in presenting seminars on a statewide and national level.
 Dirk D. Coleman, CPA
Vice-President and Shareholder
Graduate of Oral Roberts University with Bachelor of Science in Accounting and holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Joined the firm in 1983 after 1-year tax experience with a Bryan, Texas accounting firm and became Shareholder in 1986. Active in all aspects of firm’s practice with special emphasis on taxation including planning and compliance for individuals, small businesses, trusts, and estates.
 Blake W. Lackey, CPA

Graduate of Texas A&M University with Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Joined firm in 1983 after 1-year audit experience with Arthur Andersen & Co., Houston and became Shareholder in 1986. Active in all aspects of firm’s practice including auditing, consulting, and tax services. Responsible for establishing and monitoring the firm’s quality control over accounting and auditing services.

Graduate of Texas A&M University with Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Joined the firm in 1983 and became Shareholder in 1986. Active in all aspects of firm’s practice including auditing, consulting, and tax services with special emphasis on audits of employee benefit plans.

Graduate of University of Texas at Tyler with Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Joined firm in 1988 after 3 years experience with the audit division of the State Comptroller of Texas and became a Shareholder in 1995. Active in all aspects of firm’s practice including auditing, consulting, and tax services with special emphasis on state taxation, state tax research, and audit resolution assistance.
 Darrell R. Spence, CPA/ABV

Graduate of Texas Tech University with Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Joined firm in 1987 and became Shareholder in 1995. Active in all aspects of firm’s practice including auditing, consulting, and tax services. Holds the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Accredited in Business Valuation designation. Provides business valuation services.

Graduate of Stephen F. Austin University with Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. Joined firm in 1988 after ½ year in private industry and became Shareholder in 2000. Active in all aspects of firm’s practice including auditing, consulting, and tax services with special emphasis on non-profits, water supply corporations and special utility districts.
